Smash Cheeseburger

A melt-in-the-mouth cheesy, onion-infused burger experience.

Ingredients

  • Burger patties
  • Sliced cheese
  • Onions (sliced)
  • Burger buns (cut and toasted)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Warm Kerrymaid Cheese Sauce
  • Option to add crispy bacon and your favourite chilli sauce

Method

  1. Keep your Kerrymaid Cheese Sauce warm in a bain-marie.

  2. On a hot grill, place the burger patties along with sliced onions. Smash the patties flat to infuse them with the onions.

  3. Flip the patties and immediately lay a slice of cheese on top. Cover with a cloche to melt the cheese.

  4. Meanwhile, toast the burger buns until golden and spread mayonnaise on the base.

  5. Once the cheese has melted, assemble the burger by stacking the patties onto the bun base.

  6. Add the top bun, press gently, and slice the burger in half.

  7. Dunking the cut burger into warm Kerrymaid Cheese Sauce before serving immediately.
